Project Description

Delegated by the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, CAS, Green-Light Year provides specific technique services of Eco-community according to the pilot demonstration project on Dongying’s green economy development, the United Nations’ Partnership for Green Economy Action program.

The services include:

• We provide case study about the protection and use of the typical eco-community in Dongying. From these typical cases, we can learn about the relationship between the natural reserve and the sustainable development of local community, draw on experiences of the protection and use of community ecosystems, and establish a guide to Dongying eco-community.
• We run excellent environmental education courses, popularize sensible environmental solutions and collect outstanding cases about eco-community.
• Combined with social practice under the systems of education and community, we develop ecological education curriculum for teenagers and improve community functions to enhance volunteer and enterprise service.
• We provide interesting experimental type community activities, set up special community demonstrations and try to achieve sustainable consumption, which is responsible for environment and society, to create a social atmosphere that encourage developing green economy.
